When Christmas comes, reporters visit.

In the Pearl River Delta region, there are a large part of the foundry enterprises. In previous years, busy scenes of Christmas and new year's rush were everywhere, but this year compared to it seems a bit deserted.

Some enterprises are underemployed or even not started.

Some of the reasons are reduced orders, some labor costs, or rising raw material costs.

For example, I went to a shoe factory to interview, the shoe factory boss told me that the shoe production profit margins have been greatly reduced, even if there are orders, they dare not answer.

Another case is when signing the contract.

Enterprises generally feel that now that "small orders, fewer employees, cash shortage, high cost" era, many bosses are considering how to spend the winter next year and how to quit the industry.

Bigger companies even told me clearly that they were carrying on their lives, or that they had no social responsibility, otherwise workers would have nowhere else to go.

They want some help from the government, such as the adjustment of export tax rebates and so on.
