In the Eighth World Trade Before organizing the Ministerial Conference, the US trade representative Kirk (Ron Kirk) announced today some positive measures aimed at making the least developed countries (LDC) of WTO members more fully global. Trade Benefit from this.

The US's newly increased measures have been established in the most active countries to allow the least developed countries to export to the United States. market On the basis of preferential access and current trade assistance and trade capabilities, these new measures include:

• rebuild a successful technical assistance programme for West African cotton producing countries.

• expand the tax exemption and quota free treatment for cotton grown in some of the least developed countries.

Provide additional assistance to those countries that seek to maximize the use of the existing US trade preferences scheme.

"For decades, the United States has been a strong partner of the least developed countries. Ambassador Kirk said: "we hope to see these partners gain greater share in Global trade, overcome the restraining factors and achieve faster progress.

"This is why, even before announcing these new measures, the United States has been one of the largest single countries providing trade related technical assistance, which is why President Obama has established a partnership with developing countries, including the least developed countries, which is a key component of his trade agenda. We look forward to the WTO ministerial conference this week and in the future to work closely with the partners of the least developed countries in seeking new trade measures. "

Earlier this year, the United States announced new African competitiveness and trade expansion measures, as well as a trade facilitation partnership implemented through the United States Agency for international development.

The government also announced that it would actively cooperate with Congress in 2012 to enact legislation to extend the "third country fabric requirements" under AGOA, until 2015, thereby maintaining the existing benefits to African clothing exporters.

The United States has already provided tax exemption for products in many countries, while promoting accountability, spanparency and high standards of good governance. The United States plans to make special efforts to provide trade and economic cooperation opportunities for countries stricken by or affected by violence.

The United States will also leverage the leverage of public and private partnerships to maximize the impact on the communities of poor and developing countries.
